I know it's a little early to be fawning over tropical prints and short-sleeved silk shirts, but I can't help myself. Stores are starting to fill with all things spring, and my mind is getting up and wandering off to warmer days ahead. Currently, it's laying on a blanket in central park, listening to Chris Isacc's greatest hits and contemplating a pastrami sandwich from Zabar's. In this fantasy place I'm dressed in slouchy white boyfriend jeans, Nike sneakers and a silk Equipment blouse.

Meanwhile back in the real world, we're still in the midst of turtleneck and faux fur season... So I'm trying to make the most of that, too. I haven't had any interest in pastels in a long time, but lately I've been crushing on pretty sky blues and blush pinks. As someone with a wardrobe that is, on the whole, mostly white, navy, black and grey—this infusion of soft color feels right for spring and late winter, too. (Shop cozy turtleneck sweaters—many of which are on sale—here.)

I've got an unhealthy obsession with this short-sleeved Equipment blouse, and could see myself wearing it with everything from the aforementioned distressed white jeans to an on-trend button-front denim skirt (like this one from Topshop that's just $55).

Also on my wishlist at the moment are these stacked heel Frye sandals. I've been craving a pair like this for a couple of seasons now, and I think I basically have to have them, in order to keep myself from making excuses to wear my Adidas slides and Birkenstocks every day this summer.

(Oh, and I should mention that my mini bag obsession continues, and I'm seriously considering upgrading my little white Forever 21 bag to the Loeffler Randall 'Baby Rider' bag. What do you think?)
