{ Forever 21 sweater dress (sold out, similar) / Forever 21 crossbody bag / Vince ankle boots / Celine sunglasses (c/o, these Le Specs are just as glam) / Covergirl lipstick }

Can I have a transparent blogger moment with you guys for just one second? The streets of my neighborhood are so gross right now. There are trash bags piled high on almost every block and nasty, dirty mounds of snow everywhere. I love Avenue A, but ughhh post-snow storm is not its best look. That said, I'd ask you to just sort of disregard the background of these outfit photos, if you don't mind.

Anyway! This is my new favorite knit sleeping bag. I found this cozy sweater dress on sale at Forever 21 last week and sort of can't stop wearing it. Most days I've rocked it with tights, but once again the weather is on the fritz and this weekend it was warm enough to expose a bit of leg...

I snagged this little white crossbody bag (for $18!) at Forever 21, too. I love the tassel detail and the fact that it's just barely big enough to fit my phone, keys, lipstick and credit cards. And in case you were wondering... Yes, I do have that line from Kanye West's song "Bound 2" that goes, "They order champagne but still look thirsty / Rock Forever 21 but just turned thirty," stuck in my head right now. #sorrynotsorry

While I don't think I'm really all that thirsty per se, I can't really deny that I love the occasional steal from this decidedly young store. (For further evidence, see here.) I'm also addicted to mini bags right now, and will have to delve into that trend here on le blog very soon.

The half-kiki! I tried to do a little on-the-go kiki in the midst of taking these pictures and it went... Just okay. I love this look but despite my best make it look effortless efforts, I have to do my hair in front of a mirror and with some bobby pins on hand in order for it to not look weird. This half-bun is a little sad. I've been rocking a better version of this 'do a lot lately, and consequently have been doing my best to ignore the dudes who have come up to me at the bar and said, "Nice man bun." Thanks bruh.

So, this dress! I'll be frank with you: It is not the most flattering thing I own. I'm okay with that. I love that I can throw this on in the dead of winter with my double-layer DKNY tights and a coat and be totally warm. Whether you're in the mood for a more bodycon style, something feminine or a shift like this, I've realized that a sweater dress is an essential part of maintaining wardrobe sanity during the colder months because it allows you to change up your routine and get away from wearing jeans every, single, day. I'm killing with the non-jeans posts lately, no? (Shop more sweater dresses here.)

*My Vince ankle boots from the fall have been mostly sold out for a long time, but you can find a variety of black booties here.

  1. Great! The sweater dresses which you choose will depend on the utility you expect from them. I think, if it’s a casual day then an oversized sweater dress will work best for you.

  2. Very good blog.Much thanks again. Fantastic. Socks and hats
