Up until this very week, we've been experiencing a bit of an Indian Summer out on the East Coast. Temperatures have been drifting blissfully in and out of the mid-60s, much to the disappointment of our winter coats. Consequently, I've been able to work some of my favorite end-of-summer staples into my extended fall wardrobe—namely this sharp white boyfriend blazer from Banana Republic.

This very well may be the last time it gets to make an appearance before being packed away for the season, but I imagine that with a little fur scarf and a bit of cashmere underneath, it might yet still have some wear before the end of the year.

Anyway, I better not waste anymore time blabbering about this jacket so we can get right to the point, which is that there's a ridiculous mural in the background of these photos that you might really like...

I love the look of blazers, but in real life I don't wear them that often because they can feel a bit constricting and unnatural to wear when, say, you're sitting down to brunch. However, this one is woven with linen, giving it a really soft feel, plus the boyfriend cut makes it nice and roomy in the body—with slim sleeves that keep the look really trim and sophisticated. (There aren't many sizes of this one left since it's last season, but you can shop some more sleek white options here.)

I'm also having a real moment for 70's-inspired flare jeans this season, and this high-waisted pair from Paige Denim are just the right length to wear with my beloved Vince booties. These ankle boots also happen to have the perfect toe (read: nice and pointy) to wear with flares, as a round toe looks rather awkward with them for some reason. (Shop more Vince ankle boots, including mine, right this way.)

This Gigi New York 'Madison' crossbody bag has become an absolute essential in my wardrobe. It's roomy enough to fit my phone, keys, wallet, sunglasses case and any other little somethings I might be toting around from day to day. No surprise here, but I also love it because the navy leather goes with everything in my closet of late—especially black-and-white ensembles like this.
