ALL THE THINGS I LIKED ON THE INTERNET THIS WEEK { VOL 27 }

Hello friends! It's been a minute since I shared a weekly link roundup, and so here one is. Truthfully, as I continue to work on the redesign of this ol' blog, these types of posts may not continue. I've enjoyed them more than I thought I would, but in an effort to scale down the quantity and scale up the quality, they may not make the cut. Stay tuned on that front, but rest assured that you can follow me on Twitter where I am basically never not sharing links to the things I love on the Internet.
As you guys probably know by now, I do some freelance writing from time to time for my girl Megan over at Style Girlfriend. Well, I'm not the only one, and I've become pretty obsessed with her dating columnist—especially her recent post about THE DO'S AND DON'TS OF POST-DATING FRIENDSHIP
I love space. I also love conspiracy theories. I have a vague understanding of some science-y things. Put all that together and The Atlantic has my undivided attention regarding THE MOST MYSTERIOUS STAR IN OUR GALAXY.
The release of Drake's 'Hotline Bling' video just might have been the meme-iest thing that's ever happened. Not even days after we first glimpsed our beloved Champagne Papi rocking an Acne Studios turtleneck sweater and dancing with his hand in the shape of a phone, there were infinite memes, gifs and wondrous mashups. HERE'S A GOOD ONE. AND HERE'S ANOTHER. Just because.
Jess and I first became friends when her site, The Love List, was blogger site like mine, and she waxed philosophical about everything from Southern style to dating, drinking, you name it. Over the past year she has completely revamped TLL into a newsletter and hub for more long form, feature-y stories. It's brilliant. Behold, 6 WHISKEY DRINKS TO WARM YOUR BONES THIS FALL
You're probably apt to find this on your own, but if not, I must point you in the direction of this long and lovely piece from The New York Times Magazine about Fresh Air's TERRY GROSS AND THE ART OF OPENING UP. She has hosted the show for 40 years and is the kind of person that anyone working in media aspires to be.
The fashion world was abuzz yesterday (and in tears, perhaps) with the news that RAF SIMONS WILL BE LEAVING HIS POST AS CREATIVE DIRECTOR AT DIOR after only three-and-a-half years. For the most insightful consideration of this news, I defer to Cathy Horne and The Cut.
Finally, a personal horn toot: I've been freelancing over for the good folks at Teen Vogue digital, which I've really enjoyed. If you'd like to catch up on my latest stories, do check out MY CONTRIBUTOR PAGE, which links out to all my posts about robe coats, boyfriend sweaters, Kendall and Gigi and someone named Zendaya.
