{ PERSONAL STYLE } IT'S KIMONO SEASON...

Oh look it's me wearing my Adidas Adilette sandals again—big surprise. You guys, I know I have a problem and I know they're really casual and make your feet look extra wide and it's definitely not summer yet... But here we are. In this moment I loved that they added a cool styling element to this slouchy, drop-waist romper from Banana Republic I picked up during one of their massive sales recently. (Have you guys checked out their new vibe lately, by the way? Marissa Webb has done something really wonderful to their brand and I highly recommend scoping out the fresh look.)

I have a feeling this romper is going to move into heavy rotation as the temps go up this summer. The linen fabric is really light and comfortable, and the relaxed silhouette is flattering up top and conservative enough to wear to work. With this flowing, silky kimono from Boohoo layered on top, the whole look is sort of my ideal summer vibe: tent-like, kind of bohemian and mostly black.

My kimono obsession has reached new levels this year, they have become my absolute favorite thing to layer over everything from velvet dresses and tights (in the winter) to boyfriend jeans and a silk top (right now). While I couldn't find my exact kimono on Boohoo for you now (it's from last season), I did find a ton of really cool (and best of all, crazy-affordable) options from H&M, Free People, TopShop and more.

  3. Love that yellow kimono - totally cute and, I think, workable seeing as we are working in opposite seasons.

  4. Loving this look! I never wear kimonos-probably because I never know how to wear them without feeling "sloppy." Love the way you classed this one up here!
