For my second gift guide, I decided to get right to the point: drinking. To me, nothing says "It's the holidays!" more than getting slightly-to-very "festive" with people I've known at least half my life. And even if you're shopping for people you've known for much less time than that (and perhaps especially so)—you can't go wrong with gifts for the bar.
Most of these gifts are easy-pleasing, but to really nail it with a bar gift, you've got to know your drinker. If you're shopping for an experienced home bartender, why not inspire them to try their hand at making their own Gin or Hard Cider? If you have a friend who's furnishing a new place, inspire her to invite you over for parties with a set of gilded playing cards and way more festive (and biodegradable!) straws than she could ever need.
I think my favorite item on this list has to be the Spode Christmas tree glasses. My family has tons of this kitchenware, from mugs to plates, glasses and bowls. It feels so special to me, and reminds me of being a child in the midst of fancy Christmas dinners at my grandparents house. As an adult, what could be a more festive than a cocktail in glass that makes you feel like a kid again?
Oh, and if you're feeling especially generous, I'd really love this gold bar cart from One Kings Lane.
