{outfit post} the 'instant fancy' factor...

{ It's beanie season, y'all! }

I know this is maybe not supposed to be something you admit on a fashion blog, but I can be so lazy sometimes when it comes to getting dressed. Post daylight savings, I'm having an even harder time prying my bones out of bed in the morning—not to mention putting together a work-appropriate ensemble that is at least somewhat befitting of a fashion editor.

For this reason, I love pieces that do the heavy lifting for you—like soft sweaters that come with a little bit of fancy built in—aka sequins. I'm not a flashy gal, but a little bit of sparkle on a Thursday morning is sometimes just what the doctor ordered. A white blazer also has that "instant fancy" factor. It's just as easy to throw on as any other jacket, but the crisp, stark hue feels even more chic in the colder months than it does in the summer.

Oh also, how happy are we that it's beanie season again? Personally, I am thrilled to have another excuse not feel the need to wash my hair everyday. Just kidding. But not really.

All the details: Jigsaw sweater (c/o) / Zara blazer (old) / J Brand Jeans (old) / Urban Outfitters beanie / Ray-Ban shades / Rebecca Minkoff clutch (c/o).

  1. I'm right there with ya, girl! Getting lazier and lazier as the days get longer and colder. I've always been obsessed with sequins but now you've sold me on a white blazer! Good idea.
