{TGIF} Carey Mulligan's Vogue spread...

I've been a Baz Luhrmann fan since Strictly Ballroom, and count both Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge amongst my favorite movies. I'm sure many of you do, too. They're glamorous, sparkling, emotional and witty films that never cease to blow my mind.

*Side note: Do you ever wonder what it would be like if he were to collaborate with Sophia Coppola? I do. Nothing short of magical, amiright? Just ponder that for a second...

Anyway, none of us can stop talking about how excited we are to see his re-imagining of The Great Gatsby, which comes out on May 10th. Luckily, to tide us over for the next few weeks, we recently got a new, re-vamped trailer and this insane cover story from the May 2013 issue of American VOGUE. Gorgeous, thematic and oh-so-VOGUE-y. Just the way I like it.

I get chills thinking about how epic this movie is going to be, guys. Don't you? It's arriving just in time to inspire over-the-top outfits for all those lavish lawn parties we'll all be attending out on Long Island this summer... {Cue a long series of 'a girl can dream' sighs.}

“In his blue gardens men and girls came and
went like moths among the whisperings and the
champagne and the stars.”

- F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

  1. The whole of that shoot is beautiful, love that Gatsby quote too :) xoxo

  2. I adore Baz Luhrmann movies. They are so visually spectacular - I couldn't have put it better myself. Can't wait to see Gatsby!
