{ a selection of choice colorful crossbody bags, all under $200! }
When I started drafting up this post, in my head I was thinking I could maybe say something like "I'm so over big bags!" or "Little bags are in, y'all!" but actually, I don't feel that way. I am (as I'm sure many of you are, too) an equal opportunity handbag enthusiast, no matter the season or current "It" bag size. Big, small, tote, satchel, minaudiere, top-handle, no handle... They're all good for something, and sometimes that something is just being really good looking and holding my lipstick.
Currently though, I'm having a moment for the small crossbody bag. Looking forward to days spent traipsing the city on foot and specifically all-day occasions like Governor's Ball, I'm fixated on finding the perfect bag for storing my essentials and staying out of my way while dancing / brunching / Central Park-ing and beer garden-hopping.
A few notes from the above selections...
- Rebecca Minkoff really knows her way around a bag, and this multi-zip crossbody is functional and comes in a rainbow of colors.
- I think my favorite of all of these might be this floral Kate Spade bag. It's a fun print that isn't overpowering.
- I love the periwinkle hue of this other Minkoff treat that's actually a camera bag - genius for the girl who wants to get great images at an event or music festival.
- When it comes to a preppy piece, I'm kind of obsessed with this little Coach Legacy mini and the washed-out navy-and-white print of preppy and perfectly spring-y Tory Burch bag.
- For the Uptown Girl on the go, this Vince Camuto bag (bottom right) is ladylike and sophisticated in a perfect shade of cherry red.
Now, if you're lucky enough to have a budget that exceeds $200 (by a lot...) my ultimate crossbody crush is the Alexander Wang 'Marion' bag in white.

I love that Kate Spade floral one too. It reminds me of someplace tropical, unlike the snow-filled "spring" I'm living in.. But I want all of those! Bags are my weak spot xx

I love the red color-block one. But the first floral one is really pretty, too.
