Zara jacket & pants; Nordstrom blouse; Ray-Ban aviators; Michael Kors watch; Amanda Pearl bracelet (c/o); shoes borrowed from Amanda; Nars 'Heat Wave' lipstick.
Over the past few weeks, Amanda had each of us on the team (Chelsea, Melissa and I) put together interview outfits for various job types for a feature on TheEverygirl.com. Not surprisingly, my favorite look that I put together was for my "fashion" interview. It's a bit of a non-matching suit, with the blazer and pants made from the same brocade fabric but in white and cream, respectively. I love laying super-light neutrals for an almost-but-not-quite monochromatic look; polished, fresh and appropriate for an interview in the dead heat of summer.
Also, at about $120, this Zara blazer was a bit of an investment (for that brand) but one that has become invaluable in my wardrobe. I'd been craving a white blazer or tux jacket for ages, and this one just spoke to me. It pulls any look together, and makes me feel like a boss (it's the shoulder pads, I'm telling you). The more bossy you feel going into an interview - the better!
Check out the feature and tell me what you think of our interview looks!
