{petite outfit moment} stripes/stripes...

H&M t-shirt; Forever21 skirt (borrowed from Moira); Lucky Brand booties; Urban Outfitters Ecote Surplus jacket; vintage scarf; 3.1 Phillip Lim bag; Ray Ban shades.

I tell ya, having an iPhone has changed my life! Clearly, I'm having a little too much fun with my Instagram OOTD photos (that's "outfit of the day" for those of you who don't speak fashion blog), but no matter.

No DSLR necessary, I had Crissie snap a quick pic on my phone when we stepped out for lunch today. Couldn't be easier, and the quality's pretty good, eh? Anyway, I figured I'd share this little outfit moment because it was so easy to throw together and rather a perfect example of my spring wardrobe recipe: 2 or 3 parts prep + 1 part vintage + 1 fabulous bag.

It was rather serendipitous that Moira's F21 skirt and my beat-to-hell H & M tee were almost identical inversions, so I couldn't resist sporting them in tandem. The total purchase for those two items couldn't be more than $35. This UO jacket has probably been on my blog way more times than is appropriate, but that's real life for ya, and same goes for these little shortie cowboy boots. It's a true testament to their quality and wearability though, no? The bag is really the only big ticket item in this whole look, and it was a very lucky hand-me-down from Mom.

Okay, back to work now...
