{outfit post} a little Juicy, a little gossip...

Zara blazer; Madewell tee; Mango skirt; Jessica Simpson flats; Diane Von Furstenberg scarf; Brahmin bag (c/o); Ray Ban shades; Amanda Pearl necklace (c/o).

On Thursday evening my gal-about-town and fashionable partner-in-crime, Meghan, and I headed to the Upper East Side for a little catch-up time and the Juicy Couture fall preview. As per usual, we sipped champagne and ogled the silk pants, floral suits and yes, a tracksuit or two.

Love the color palette, all jewel tones and rich neutrals... track pants and stilettos, anyone?

Before heading up to 63rd, we took a short diversion over to Central Park, right at 59th and 5th Avenue. All around The Pond, trees were blooming, bulbs were sprouting and what was once brown-on-brown-on-even-more-brown was transitioning into all kinds of green.

I do these post-work events and previews rather often, but even so, I don't usually feel like I've dressed properly for both. Something wrinkles, I'm too hot or too cold, or I just get sick of my outfit. Does that ever happen to you? I know I'm a "style blogger" or something and I should have this kind of thing down to a science, but let's be real for a second - it's not that easy.

For this one though, I'll pat myself on the back. I was comfortable at my desk all day in my skirt and super-soft tee (elastic waist band - heyoooo), warm enough with my printed cashmere scarf, and felt appropriately bossy for the preview with my white blazer on top of it all. Nevermind that I was maybe the only person there not in heels - I gotta do me.

  4. Love the skirt! I've been hesitant about the maxi, but you pull it off without looking sloppy or overwhelmed.

  8. I know that feeling. Not feeling that what you´ve picked up in the morning is right at 1 pm. Pretty damn annoying.
Anyway I think you look lovely!

  11. love love love that scarf! As a so-called "fashion blogger" too I have a hard time getting dressed in the morning in something that will take me through all of my to-do list in style... it is a challenge, but makes me think more "intentionally" about what I am putting on (even before my first cup of coffee!)
