the white jeans uniform...

If you read Eat, Sleep, Denim ever, you'll have noticed that I'm on a hunt for the perfect pair of white jeans. I've tried J. Crew and J Brand - and weirdly both were a fail. I've been told to make Madewell my next stop, and I'm also going to look into Paige - since their jeans are pretty much my favorite ever.

Anyway, while my search continues, I'm building up the wardrobe of everything I want to wear with said white jeans once I secure them. It's a simple uniform, and one I can see myself wearing again and again in the springtime.

1. Chic Shades - I need a pair of these, sooner than ASAP.
2. Structured Tote - I love this Zara one (reasonable price, heyo!) but you know my heart beats for the Pashli
3. Soft Chambray Shirt - I've been whining about my need for one of these for-e-ver and I think I may finally break down and spend what I think is really just way too much money for it, because I feel incomplete.
4. Jazzy Oxfords - I just ordered these from Zappos and I can hardly wait for them to arrive. I think they're quite the cherry on top of simple and timeless look.

Thoughts? What's your spring uniform going to be? I know some of you are much more skirt and dress-oriented than I am so please give me some feminine inspiration!

  1. i love white jeans, although i find it tricky to style them without looking overly preppy. in the summer i love dressing up fun patterned shorts and classic cut offs
    in dramatic fashion

  3. I'm not much of a skirt girl either so this is perfect! I love it cuz you can change up the look with any colored/printed denim and it still works! I've been wearing this look with yellow and red skinnies....minus the oxfords (I love them but I dont think I can pull them off) instead, some leopard print ballet flats!

  6. The Chambray will for sure be in all my go to casual outfits for Spring! The other piece I'd like to mix in are printed and floral mini skirts with some fab bright neon flats and sandals!

  10. In terms of fit I totally prefer Madewell over JCrew denim. JCrew's rise is slightly too low for me, just cuts the wrong spot, whereas Madewell is just a bit higher (without being too high) and so much more flattering. I love Paige too so I am guessing either one will be a great choice.

  14. Definitely check out Paige for white skinnies! The skyline peg fit is great - not super low rise and not see-through at all. Love those oxfords, too!

  17. levis 535's! I just got a pair for 40 bucks from zappos! they are perfect! true to size, rise not too high, not too low and you can get them in 4 colors (in addition to their gorgeous pure white) and still come in below what you'd sepend on the fancy designer kind!
these jeans do wonders for one's butt! they are really stretchy, but keep their shape.

  19. I LOVE everything about this look! I just found a super cute pair (with just the right amount of stretch, but not see-through at all) that are BDG from Urban Outfitters of all places. Had to retire my old J. Crew pair, and I actually like these MUCH better!
