mid-week music moment: The Lumineers

The Lumineers - Ho Hey

My apologies for not posting a MWMM last week, or, anything at all for that matter. Never you mind though, I'm back and raring to go. This week's selection was introduced to me a couple of weekends ago by my friend John who was up visiting from D.C., whom I know from Seattle. He put it on for us as we all nursed headaches and ate giant bagels on a sunny Saturday morning. Saint Patrick's Day, actually.

I love this song for it's New York City references and easy sing-a-long-ability. Also, the video looks like a party you'd really want to be at, don't you think?

The Lumineers have kind of a cool story, and you can read it here. The catchy melody and sweet message of this song coupled with that story got me listening to a few more of their tunes, and now I think I'll try and see them in concert in Williamsburg, BK on April 21st. (Wanna come?)

Enjoy, and happy Wednesday!

  4. I love the Lumineers! I first heard 'Ho Hey' on a TV show a few months back and ever since then I've been trying to dig up new music. No need! I'm now the proud owner of their album.
