a saturday in Brooklyn...

A couple of weekends ago, when fall was just starting to think about showing up in New York, Alli and I ventured over to Brooklyn to check out the Williamsburg flea market. Because the L train wasn't running we splurged on a cab, and needless today, our cabbie got lost once we left the island. Lucky for us though we came across one of the coolest buildings I've ever seen on our walk to find the flea.

I mean, how rad is that?

Weekend uniform: Striped sweater, surplus jacket, boyfriend jeans, Minnetonkas.

Somehow Alli and I ended up dressing ridiculously similar..

I was totally obsessed with these mirrors, clearly, but I also love all the different reflections you can see in this photo.

Instead of taking a cab home from Brooklyn, we took the East River Ferry, which I highly recommend. We then proceeded to walk all the way up from the South Street Seaport to Tribeca for a quick bite. We parted ways at Houston and I headed home to Chelsea on the Westside Highway. It was a spectacular sunset. I love how vibrant the colors are and how quickly they change over the Hudson.

Not a bad way to spend a Saturday, if I do say so myself.

  1. Oh I love the flea. I don't blame the cabbie though. I can't even navigate Williamsburg on foot.

  2. I love all these pictures. Your outfit is adorable! And your friend's too.

  3. Funny that you both dressed the same. Fleamarkets are great to discover vintage stuff.

  4. Sounds wonderful! Will defo keep in mind about the ferry.
And your photos are simply stunning.
    Have a great Sunday.

  5. Super cool building and I love that sunset.
