baby, it's cold outside!

{This one's for Tully...} Everyone was right. My New York friends told me, "Fall lasts for like a week, and then all the sudden it's the dead of winter." In a seriously short amount of time, the temperatures in NYC have dropped like crazy! Yesterday the high was 46 degrees. The forcast for the rest of the week looks slightly more promising, but still, I'm now totally obsessed with finding the right winter accessories to keep me cozy and chic until, what, April? I already have an absolutely essential black pashmina and a great pair of black leather gloves, but there are so many fun things beyond that. Like, a snood! What the heck are these things!? A scarf, a hood, or just my idea of heaven on a cold day? And how about going totally wilderness-chic with a trapper hat? I could do it. And love it. I also really like these knit headbands that resemble "turbands;" a great way to continue that trend into the colder months. Generally, I prefer to accessorize in neutral colors, but to mix them up - like wearing a gray scarf, cream gloves and a black hat with my black jacket. However, when the rest of the ensemble is neutral, or black, it's fun to punch it up with printed and colorful cozies.
