NYFW by Inslee...

When I was younger, I loved to draw. I believed myself to be quite talented, and fancied that one day I might become a fashion designer. I would spend hours drawing princesses in flowing ballgowns and mermaids with miles of blond hair. Truth be told, I wasn't so bad. And truth be told again, I still like to draw. In college I probably had the most elaborately doodled-upon notebooks on campus. However, it's not really my thing. I think blogging might be my thing. I mean, right?

Anyway, drawing, or rather, illustrating, is definitely my friend Inslee's thing. She's a crazy talented fashion illustrater whom I've known of (she knows my music man, Anderson) but had never met until a few weeks ago. We giggled over admitting that we read each other's blogs and twitters and got along instantly. Well, Miss Inslee emailed me this morning because she turned some of my favorite looks from fashion week into drop-dead gorgeous illustrations (and a pretty hilarious commentary on NYFW):

How incredible are those? I think my favorites are the Oscar de la Renta and the Marc Jacobs. Inslee has a website (which I linked to above as well) where you can check out more of her illustrations, commision her to create something fabulous, purchase a calendar or buy prints of her work. She also has a witty and colorful blog, where these drawings were originally posted, so have a look!

(Oh, and all these images are copyrighted by her, so don't be a thief!)
