RIP: Ray-Ban aviators...

In the span of about three weeks, both Tully and I lost our matching Ray Ban aviators. She misplaced hers in a place unknown, and mine were lost overboard to the East River after a Sip & Sail. Her's were bought just prior to and in honor of her move to NYC, and I'd had mine since I was 17 (see my post 'an american in Paris: Ray Ban aviators'). To say we both are feeling sad, lost, and incomplete would be an understatement. To be fair, sunglasses are one of those most-easily lost accessories that we all have tragic stories about. Left in a cab, lost off a boat, crushed underfoot, smashed in an overstuffed handbag... It happens to us all. Still, I felt it was only right to pay homage to the many adventures Tully and I had had together in our perfectly timeless shades. Here's hoping we'll soon be un-poor enough to replace them...

  1. so sad!!! love the collage of pics though :)

  2. As a matter of fact, ray ban aviator is still number one when it comes to designer sunglasses. They are very popular amongst many of today's celebrities and film stars.
