{outfit post} signing a lease in the city...

Last Thursday, Tully and I got dressed to go sign our lease for the Chelsea apartment and then to a gathering on the Upper West Side. Per the usual, it was very hot, but I'm really having a moment for my new Theory pants, and I couldn't resist wearing them. They have a sort of unusual fit, but I think it's flattering on my hip-less legs. The paperbag waist sits high but doesn't squeeze, and the roomy, pleated leg gives me a little more shape. The cropped, tapered leg is also great for both heels and flats. I paired them with a super-casual fitted tank and sandals, with my glitzy statement necklace...

(Theory paper-bag waist pants; H&M tank top; vintage belt; consigned "New York" necklace; Steve Madden sandals; vintage Ralph Lauren bag; MK boyfriend watch.)

(On Tully: Urban Outfitters dress; H&M bag; Aldo sandals.)
