my first day in New York...

Hey there Upper East Siders, Gossip Girl here...

Just kidding. But really, I am blogging to you from the Upper East Side of Manhattan in my friend Gina's apartment on 83rd St. I haven't really settled in, or unpacked, but my stuff is everywhere and I'm with my best friends and I feel right at home. Yesterday was my first day in town, so Tully and I went out exploring. She has been here for about 3 weeks and has visited quite a few times, so she's the perfect tour guide.

To kick off our day, we walked down 92nd all the way to Central Park. It was a wonderful walk because it was about 77 degrees and sunny with a breeze, and we strolled around the real UES, across Lexington, Park, and 5th Avenue. The gorgeous buildings, the doormen, the strings of black sedans driven by men in suits... It was just like I imagined.

5th Ave in front of The Met - taxi central.
We couldn't resist snapping photos the rest of the day...

Tully is in a Marc by Marc Jacobs top & Ray Ban aviators (can you tell why we're friends?) and I'm in an Anthropologie top, Seven for All Mankind DIY jorts, vintage belt & bag, Ray Bans, Steve Madden Sandals and the usual bling.
