mid-week music moment: Julian Casablancas

What would I do without Gossip Girl? Seriously, I am not sure. It seems to permeate so much of my life. Whether I'm dramatically imagining my life issues into Blair/Serena/Nate/Chuck-worthy drama or deciding that anything Blair Waldorf says, does or wears is law ("Tights are not pants!") ... it sometimes seems that GG can do no wrong.

If you thought I was going to segue from that into something that GG has done wrong, you're incorrect. I'm just going to add my life soundtrack to that list. I've posted before that I once went to a show that featured three artists that were heard on Gossip Girl. I know, I'm special. Anyway, the return episode on March 8th used a song by Julian Casablancas (lead singer of The Strokes; now has a solo career), and he's made it into heavy rotation on my ipod.

Here's "11th Dimension" by Julian Casablancas, from Phrazes for the Young. I absolutely LOVE this song - it's so addicting in a crazy 80's/electro/cant-get-enough-of-his-voice kind of way... right?
What do you think?
