mid-week music moment...

Been there done that messed around, I'm having fun don't put me down, I'll never let you sweep me off my feet - this time baby I'll be bulletproof...

During the days that I work as a nanny, I get to watch a lot of late-morning television. On the "you almost want to poke your eyeballs out" side of it is Kathy Lee and Hoda during the 10 a.m. hour of the Today Show, but after that is the "is it strange how hard I'm laughing this early in the day" side of it: The Ellen Show.

I shamelessly adore Ellen Degeneres and everything she is about. She's so funny and generous and has a hot wife. Yesterday, as I was bouncing the baby around the kitchen and making lunch for the three-year-old I had Ellen on in the background. She had a band called La Roux perform, and I was totally digging their sound.

I promptly downloaded this song (the one they performed) and now I can't turn it off. I think part of it is that the lyrics are sort of resonating with me at the moment. Additionally, it's very catchy and dance-able.

Enjoy with me, "Bulletproof" by La Roux.

Happy Wednesday!
