New York Fashion Week favs...

Here's a peek at my favorite looks from New York Fashion Week so far...

For complete collection coverage, consult The Cut.

Diane Von Furstenberg

I love this look from DVF's Fall 2010 RTW collection. The proportions of the dress are pretty, and I like the boyfriend-esque jacket over it. It's comforting to see that this trend of delicate/masculine mixing will be continuing into the Fall.

Love the mix of textures, colors and layers...

...another very wearable look from DVF. I love the idea of layering a slouchy sweater over a delicate dress and topping it off with an oversized open cardigan.

Diane Von Furstenberg

pretty preppy @ DVF. I'm really digging this neon/silver combo, but wonder how it would translate to the real world. The tiered skirt w/ skinny belt is very J. Crew, no?

Erin Featherston

Sleek office-chic @ Erin Featherston Fall '10 RTW. I am on the hunt for a pair of slim black pants like these that i can wear to work. Though I doubt I can afford Ms. Featherston, I'm sure similar looks will be popping up at J. Crew soon. Also, I have found that vests are such an easy way to add a little strucure and formality to a blouse to take it from weekend to workday in a cinch, so take note!

Erin Featherston

This look is very girl-about-town-at-midnight in NYC. If I happen to be living there next Fall, this will be a picture I take inspiration from when I go out.

Erin Featherston

I like this as a whole, but I am totally not into that hem length. It's somewhat universally unflattering. The jacket is great, as are the pendant and boots, though.

Betsey Johnson

So, I couldn't find a lot to love in Betsey's Fall RTW collection. It was all quite theatrical and rather silly. However, I did like this tribute to McQueen that came at the end of the runway show.

DKNY

I didn't DKNY's collection was particularly edgy or notable, but I do like this geometric pattern and drop waist silhouette. It's also good news for me that short hemlines and tights will carry into the next cold season... love it!

DKNY

Sparkly outerwear...

Thakoon

Fashion's favorite shade was all over the runway at Thakoon. I really like breaking up the monochromatic feel with lots of textures and pattern, as well as layering a knee sock over tights with heeled booties.

Thakoon

Fur, white tights, lots of layers... very wild but I like it all together.

Thakoon

More layering at Thakoon, this time in white.

Zac Posen

Fun & pretty, I like the seaming of the top, but I'm rather distracted by the size of that model's thigh.

Carolina Herrera

Carolina Herrera practically breathes elegance and sophistication, and her Fall RTW is no exception.

Peter Jensen

This dainty socks-with-heels-and-bare-legs thing seems to be catching on...

Y-3

capes & colors abound at Y-3...

Front Row at Calvin KIein Menswear

Sooooooo pretty.
