shut up, i love that resolution on you...

Happy Joyous Prosperous Fabulous New Year Everyone!

I can feel it in my bones already, 2010 is going to be a great year. Twenty-ten. That just sounds BIG, right? It's a new decade and I'm pretty sure the next ten years of the new millennium are going to be even better than the first ten.

I've never been one for resolutions, but at a time full of so much new potential, I feel more motivated than ever to proclaim changes, standards, and goals to strive for in 2010 - and really stick to them. Or at least make a really valiant attempt.

Since it's twenty-ten, and the start of a new decade, I've come up with - 10 - New Years resolutions for 2010:

1. Move to a fabulous and exciting new city. It will probably be New York City this Spring!

2. Get a job. A real job. Technically, I have a job, and maybe even and real-ish job. But my darlings, I'm dreaming big for 2010. This year, I want a salary. I want to take a real and concrete step towards my inevitable career in the world of fashion journalism. And I will have it.

3. Hot Yoga. I've been slacking on my practice lately, but I am telling you - that is a workout sent from heaven. The sweat, the stretch, the toning... I am could give an info-mercial on how much I believe in a little Bikram/Hatha/Vinyasa in your day. It works wonders for the mind and the bod.

4. Get my Carrie Bradshaw On. Dating is fun. I'm leaving the cynicism, and the idiots, in 2009. Onwards and upwards.

5. Photography. I've got four fabulous cameras and a whole world before me. I really want to improve my eye, my skill and my love of taking pictures this year. (PS: CoolPix, Cannon D60 SLR, vintage Polaroid, and a Holga medium-format)

6. Travel. To at least one exotic or unique place I have never been before.

7. Let's Get Physical. Less Facebook, more face-to-face.

8. Be A Part Of The Conversation. This year I'm going to make more of an effort to read newspapers, books, blogs, magazines... Anything to expand my understanding of the world I'm living in. I have always loved to read, but I owe it to myself to apply that love to informing myself on topics I should know more about. Off the top of my head: politics, sports, and cooking. A good start, no?

9. Cash Money. Save more, spend less. This is the mantra.

10. Bloggity Blog. With love from me to you, every weekday.

What are your resolutions for 2010??
