book worm...

I love fashion blogs. Obviously. I love how quickly and easily I can browse runway videos, industry news and style photos. And, clearly, I like to put my own tastes and opinions out there for the world here on SUILTSOY. In this way, the internet is fab.

But, do you ever get that feeling, when you've been browsing page after page, that your eyeballs might just shrivle up and fall out of your head and your wrists are permanently indented with a line from resting them on your MacBook? I do. Every now and then, I just want to hold something real in my hands; run my fingers over a glossy photograph, and turn a few actual pages.

This is why I'm thankful for two things: Harper's Bazaar and coffee table books. I love CTBs - especially ones about fashion and design. They are great conversation starters, functional decor pieces, and always full of beautiful photos.

Here are a few of my favorites and ones I can't wait to get...

Already own & love:

The Woman in the Mirror - Richard Avadon

Influence - Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen

A Photographer's Life: 1990-2005 - Annie Lebovitz

Style A to Zoe - Rachel Zoe

Christian Dior - Francoise Giroud and Sacha Van Dorssen

The Secret Language of Birthdays - Goldschneider and Joost Elffers

The Audrey Hepburn Treasures - Ellen Erwin, Jessica Z. Diamond, and Sean Hepburn Ferrer

Eloise in Paris - Kay Thompson (not a true CTB, but big enough to work for me)

On my wish list:

The Sartorialist - Scott Schuman
