treasure hunting on Capitol Hill...

What goes around comes around.

One man's trash is another man's treasure.

Either way you look at it, garage and estate sales are amazing. You can bargin, you can haggle, and you can find hidden gems.  If you live in Seattle, come out this Saturday at 10 a.m. for the 2nd annual Capitol Hill Community Garage Sale.  There are no less than 45 sales happening all day (until about 4pm), all over the hill; including a larger community sale at Pine & Belmont.  So grab an americano at Liberty and some friends, hit the ATM, and find that gilded frame velvet painting you've always been looking for.

Highlights from the Web site include...

"...probably some recycled white trash effects...textiles from india...veils...then experimental snacks..." and "Free stuff for whomever brings a badminton shuttlecock (the last two got eaten by the dog and we need more!)" and of course "all kinds of crazy stuff!"

Happy hunting! Also, if you happen across a pair of size 8 rollerblades, snag them for me!
