summer wardrobe inspiration...

Shopbop, one of my favorite online shopping sites, recently began publishing a sort of mini, online monthly magazine called The Edit. July's issue is all about American sportswear, and it's exactly the kind of looks that are inspiring me this summer. Classic, slightly preppy pieces with a relaxed and easy fit.

Check out the great styling and photos here.

But if you'd rather skip to my favorite items from their selection, click .

Max Ribbon Fedora, $286.00 by Eugenia Kim at What can I say? I'm a sucker for a good fedora. I could never afford (nor do i recommend) spending this much on a straw hat, but, a girl can dream.

12" Pencil Leg Ripped Jeans, $187.00 by J Brand at  I am totally addicted to J Brand jeans, I have two pairs of the 12" pencil leg cut, in black and a simple dark wash. I have been on a hunt for white skinny jeans, and these just might do the trick.

Boat Neck T-Shirt, $115.00 by Rag and Bone at Again, a pretty expensive top, but this is an easy look to duplicate for less. A striped boat neck top is almost as basic as it comes, so keep your eye out at places like Gap and Banana Republic where you're sure to come across one for half the price of the Rag & Bone version.

Akan Shorts, $160.00 by Theory at Cute, short, peach. I love.

Outdoorsman Aviator Sunglasses, $139.00 by Ray-Ban at I can't get enough of Ray-Ban's retro re-issues, and these aviators are no exception. I think the plastic overlay on the bridge gives this pair a cool, masculine edge.

Bijan Knotted Flat Sandals, $178.00 by Pour La Victoire at Pour La Victoire is constantly tempting me with their shoes that have just enough edge to be trendy, but always have a shape that will translate into seasons to come. This pair is everything I can ask for in a summer sandal: a neutral color, buttery soft leather, perfect with shorts or a dress, and flat!

Happy shopping!
