it's Seattle fashion week!

Attention local fashionistas - it's Fashion Week in Seattle. Well, it's more like fashion long weekend, but it promises to be a stylish affair nonetheless.

The shows kick off tonight at 7 p.m. at Fremont Studios with the Independant Designers Showcase. Sit or stand (depending on your ticket price!) and enjoy the newest collections from designers Alfred Rape of LAVISH, Heart On My Sleeve, Emika Alams of Live From the Coast, eco-friendly line Salvationware, and Student Designer Winner Becky Sullivan.

Friday night features practical style for city dwellers at the Urban Retailers Show. Check out the Spring and Summer offerings from boutiques and retailers such as United Colors of Bennetton, Ducati, Two in the Shirt, and Moksha Clothing.

Get your fix of couture eveningwear and avant-garde looks at the Couture Finale Show on Saturday night. Designers include Naomi B., Logan Neitzel, Blayne Walsh and Tony Galang.

Each show is accompanied by a sponsored afterparty with a fabulous DJ, so make a night of it! And don't forget, the dress code will be STRICTLY enforced! (and your favorite fashion-blogger-in-training (me) will be there tonight looking for stylish attendees!)
